Farouk Mutallab’s “Underwear Bomber” Trial Begins.

Remember him innocent looking, naïve, born with silver spoon Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, son of savvy business man Umaru Mutallab, brainwashed and turned into a terrorist by Islamic extremist. Became prominent when he attempted to blow up a Detroit-bound airliner on Christmas day December, 2009. And ever since he has been languishing in jail.
One and half year down the line, with commencement of jury selection the stage is set for his trial to commence. Proper trial is set to commence within the week.
A year ago, a remorseless Abdulmutallab appeared in court, fired his attorney and elected to represent himself. With no attorney this will be a closely watched and interesting trial, this is not a case of innoncent until proven guilty, but what sentence will he get? Death by electrocution, life sentence or a stint at Guantanamo.
Since then, aided by a standby lawyer, he has challenged the US legal process, penned a handwritten letter to the judge to protest witnesses for the prosecution, shouted out during hearings and refused to obey the judge's orders at times.
