Google offers $1m for anyone who successfully hacks its web browser ( Chrome )

Internet giant, Google, has offered to pay $1 million to anyone who can successfully hack its web browser, Chrome.

Chrome has entered an international hacking contest called Pwn2Own for the past three years and emerged unscathed; while other brand name browsers like Safari, Internet Explorer, and Firefox were successfully hacked.

Google is offering the incentive as a pre-emptive measure to be able to strengthen future versions of the browser.

“Not only can we fix the bugs, but by studying the vulnerability and exploit techniques we can enhance our mitigation's, automated testing, and sand boxing,” stated Chris Evans and Justin Schuh, security engineers of Google.
