Man sentenced to 4yrs imprisonment for seducing a married woman
Chief magistrate, Isa Mohammed at a court sitting in Bauchi State, on Monday convicted Attahiru Umar Sade, to four years imprisonment for seducing a married woman.
Bello (the woman's husband) said the accused 'Umar sade' has been asking his wife for a sexual relationship for about a year now and they had to move from there former house to prevent umar from contacting his wife.
However, Umar managed to get Munira Mohammed's (Bello's wife) phone number and called her sometimes last month. Bello added that Umar also sent her N500 recharge card the following day.
Bello then reported the matter to the Dutsen Tanshi police command on September 27, 2011 since the man refused to stay away from his wife
The woman's husband, Suleiman Bello, then filed a direct criminal complaint against the accused through his lawyers, UB Darazo, Auwal Ibrahim and Jibrin Sa’id Jibrin
The accused pleaded guilty to the charges and begged the court for leniency.
Judge Mohammed sentenced him to six months in prison on the first count charge or pay a fine of N5,000, on the second count charged he sentenced him to one year imprisonment or to pay a fine of N10,000 while on the third count charge he was given two years imprisonment or to pay a fine of 15,000.
The chief magistrate therefore ordered Umar Sade to pay the sum of N50, 000 as compensation to the complainant or to spend six months in prison.
